The overall objective of this new initiative is to reduce gender inequality and improve quality of life by supporting poor and marginalized women to earn extra income through sustainable Beekeeping practices and marketing of bee products. This is a joint effort of Agranee, Odisha and Barefoot College International, Rajasthan. It being the initial period of the project a group of 20 women bee farmers from five villages have been trained and provided with necessary equipments including two bee boxes with bee groups to each farmer.
